Brilliant service bought an Alpine 2…
Brilliant service bought an Alpine 2 years ago has been outstanding value coolest looking bike. The customer service from these fellas has been outstanding. I think the bike is running well and when it’s been serviced runs on another level.
Love the bike, simple to use and understand. Very well built. Very impressed with the customer service and speed of delivery after the order was placed. Have already got a workmate ordering a Volt bike after he saw mine.
I have just purchased my first e-Bike. Couldn't be more happy with my VOLT Alpine e-bike. Went for my first 15 miles ride along the River Tay in Scotland. I was just fantastic. The bike is comfortable and works great (and looks awesome too!). Big thanks to Mark Sinclair (Sinclair Cycles - Kinross). I went there to try out the bike and Mark delivered my bike at my home. Totally recommend VOLT BIKES! Thanks.
I highly recommend Volt. I purchased Two Alpine mountain Volt Ebikes for myself and my husband. I can positively say they are brilliant, my husband and I have cycled many miles over lots of different terrains and they have not let us down. It has certainly got us both out and about and enjoying the fresh air! A great way to get lots of positive exercise.
Bike is great, very good build quality and been more than happy with the performance and range. Charging is quick and easy. More than happy to recommend a Volt bike - our local dealer was very good with a variety of models in stock and a demonstrator he was happy to lend us.
Unlike some of the reviews below, I have had outstanding, second-to-none customer service from Electric Bike Store (technical support for Volt bikes in UK). I bought a used Volt Alpine a few years ago and it had a problem with a broken magnet early on. EBS(Volt) immediately sent me a new one - no charge. Now, years later, I am having a problem with the lock on the battery. They responded quickly on the phone, understood the problem and sent me a spare part to try, and eventually sold me the correct spare part (ignition barrel). [Mine is the old style battery - no longer sold, but still supported]. They advised and described fitting the replacement and when they say they'll call back, they do. Many, many thanks to Elliot, Cameron and Lyle. My ebike is my lifeline.
Parts were missing on a new bike, but everything sorted now
Parts were missing on a new bike. The bike itself is reasonably good, however it came with some reflectors missing off the pedals, I called Volt within the first week of purchasing the bike and they said they would send the reflectors to me immediatly. nothing arrived so I wrote this review and they have since contacted me and sent 2 replacement pedals with the reflectors fitted. I have only got 70 miles on the mileometer at the moment as the weather is far too hot to go out and about but it seems a good bike and im pleased with it.
After much deliberation of all the electric mountain bikes available I decided to purchase a Volt Alpine. When comparing quality and price it was in a league of its own. I ordered the bike after visiting Cycling Supreme in Doncaster who were very helpful and explained in great detail the capabilities of the bike. Volt connected me to arrange delivery and were extremely courteous and helpful. The bike was delivered within two days to Cycle Supreme who set it up ready for me to collect. I have been on a few excursions with my sons and the Volt Alpine does not disappoint. It is easy to ride without any assistance but comes into its own when you need that extra help up the long hills. I would not hesitate in recommending this bike to anyone.
Early days, however first impressions are of a quality build, very easy to ride and operate. You do need to consider how you will transport it due to it's weight. We devised an internal bike rack that fits inside my SUV, required removing quick release front wheel. we would not have purchased this type of bike if we could not have transported it easily. It is too heavy for conventional roof racks.
Just bought a beautifully made Alpine Mountain bike as my first hybrid. Volt came highly recommended by my dealer who reckoned they were superior in this category. Have yet to try out their back up and replacement parts but riding the bike is an immensely enjoyable experience and there is a feeling of safety and security riding this bike. I think electric bikes have come along way over the last few years and Volt, whilst fairly small, seem to stand for quality and value for money.
Decided I wanted to start biking to work, after a bit of research I went for a Volt Pulse. I can honestly say I am not disappointed. As I haven’t biked for a while I am using more assistance, and this does reduce battery life, but it is a joy to ride. I arrive at work feeling full of energy, and one week in, and 120 miles done I am not looking back. Don’t hesitate, get yours today.
First class product at the age of 62 with knee problems i can now ride 40 miles with no problems. With a great battery 8 gears 4 assist modes i never worry about hills and on the flat can keep up a good average speed and even the wife who is a triathlete. Only one small problem with one of the pedals bearings, a phone call to the supplier got it sorted .
Bought my bike around two years ago and have enjoyed it a lot. Bike was purchased from London main store and shipped to Jersey. They had a local bike dealer put it together at no extra cost. I had some initial problems with the forks peeling and an electrical malfunction. Parts were sent to me for the electronics and fixed the problem. Peeling on the forks was a mystery and they had the bike shipped back to London for inspection. The bike was given new forks and shipped back to me and reassembled again at a local bike shop (at their expense). Since then it has gone like a dream and I have covered around three thousand miles. Battery still runs as good. One puncture dealt with and it was a fiddle to fix but now know how to get back wheel off and on quicker. Bike is heavy particularly lifting it on and off a Motorhome bike rack. When you run out of juice it feels like someone is tugging you from behind. Frame etc has stood up well to daily grind. Would recommend bike and service although I wish I didn't have teething problems. Would buy another if required. You just stay out longer and use it more often. The way ahead! Would now like lighter bikes, quicker charging times and more efficient batteries.
The bike was bought because I have a bad chest and find it difficult to cycle at times. The new bike means I can ride faster and further. I have not had any problems with the bike. I have riden the bike with and without using the electric both ways are fine. This bike was a good purchase as it give me more freedom to get out and about doing something I love cycling.
I bought my Volt Alpine from Lincoln Cycle Centre. I have prostate cancer, and am on Hormone Therapy treatment which can make me very tired and lethargic. i decided to spend a lump sum from my pension on an electric bike and settled on an Alpine because it has a stronger battery than some, it can go off road, and Volt, even before i bought the bike, were very helpful. I needed a good company that would give me support after i bought the bike! I love this bike. I have done 300mls round Rutland water and Leicestershire. It has given me exercise. I talk to more people. I get close up to butterflies along lanes. I can go for miles without getting exhausted. To me it has been more than a bike ; it has been a way of getting out. And it is fabulous to ride. Unfortunately i have developed thinning of the bones in my spine and at the moment i cannot ride the bike because i get backache the next day. i hate not being able to ride it, and will, after a bone scan, know one way or the other if i can get back on it. I bore my friends telling them that everyone should get a Volt bike. Thankyou, Rob
i got my self a volt alpine bike about a month ago very pleased with it can go up steep hills with easy been on a few bike rides and felt at easy after a 30 mile ride a few people have had a go on the bike and can not get over how good it is if you want to get back into bike riding this is the bike to go for got my bike from redline garage cabus near garstang staff very help full
This electric mountain bike has beaten all my expectations. It is more powerful than I expected, the ecceleration is fantastic, and the disc brakes are superb. It is ideal for rough tracks, and just as capable on tarmac roads.
I purchased this 2 months ago and can honestly say that the bike is fantastic in every way. It is ideal while walking my dog with the computer set in walk mode and ideal with the setting at number 2 for running. The charging of the battery is nice and easy and only takes around 2 and a half hours. The bike is very smart and easy to operate and is a real pleasure to use. I would fully recommend this to anyone with or without a dog. This makes struggling up a hill a thing of the past. The shop where i bought it in Brighton the staff were excellent and i fully recommend them.
The Alpine has quality as a bike plus quality as an electric bike. I have now cycled 100Km in 4 days and that includes some serious hills. I researched the market and initially thought crank drive was the best, and tried one. However this is certainly better and I really recommend it. Best e-bike!
Hi, I have just completed 1 year with my Volt Alpine, I have covered 4,500 kilometers mostly across the New Forest (gravel roads and rough tracks) from my house to the beach and back (14 miles). As an bit of a mechanic/geek, I was absolutely convinced that with the mileage and distance I have done, and my size (6 ft 3 inches) and weight (17 stone), the nylon planet gears (in the rear hub motor) would be absolutely cream crackered. When I recently had a rear puncture I took the opportunity to peek inside the motor and was astonished to find the gears looking like they had just left the factory!!, the rest of the bike also looks as good and goes as well as the day I brought it!!
My volt alpine is a great product ride it every day can't fault it at all
The volt alpine mountain bike is one hell of a good bike. I ride it to work and back every day about 10 miles each way. I thought it was a lot of money at the time but , but now it I think well worth it. Pluses I have lost 4 stone in the process
The new generation of the VOLT Alpine is designed to explore where there are no roads. Its stylish integrated battery design and powerful SpinTech™ motor offers high performance on a variety of on and off-road terrains and looks great whilst doing it.
The 250 Watt Super High Torque Bafang x SpinTech motor quipped with a bottom bracket torque sensor ensures this electric bicycle makes light work of hills and easy riding against strong winds but if you choose to ride without power assistance, the Alpine is a great ride with pedal power alone. You have a choice of 4 power modes allowing you to do as much or as little of the work as you wish.
The updated componentry takes the Alpine to a new level, geared with 120mm travel SR Suntour Tapered Suspension, 27.5” wheels with Maxxis Ikon tyres, Tektro Hydraulic Safety "Power Cut" brake levers and Shimano Alivio 8-speed gears, the Alpine guarantees you a fun and safe ride. The technology side of the bike is maintenance-free and very reliable, meaning you can take your electric bike in for routine servicing at any good quality bicycle shop throughout the UK and Europe.
The latest evolution of our SpinTech rear hub motor technology gives riders the best of both worlds through a choice between torque and cadence modes at the touch of a button. Torque mode delivers a natural, responsive ride by matching the motor’s assistance to the effort you put into the pedals, making it feel like an extension of your own power. Cadence mode, by contrast, provides smooth, consistent assistance as soon as you start pedalling, ideal for relaxed riding, effortless journeys, or when you want the bike to do more of the work. By allowing riders to switch between these two distinct riding experiences, VOLT offers a level of versatility that has not previously been available on any e-bike motor to date. While most competing systems require customers to choose one approach or the other, VOLT’s innovative SpinTech technology lets you adapt the bike to your preferences, terrain, and riding style at any time delivering greater comfort, control, and enjoyment from every ride.
The VOLT Alpine comes as standard with a powerful integrated SpinTech™ Panasonic 36v Large Lithium Battery (Up to 60 miles*).
