Had a Metro for 5 yrs of great fun and enjoyed its folding quality and comfy ride. Changed now to the Light. Superior ride with the central drive motor giving a more cycle like experience and better balance. Moreover the lighter weight makes it more useable and portable. Fantastic game changing upgrade lack of any security inbuilt is a downside. Deletion of the abus lock as a weight saver is understood but the Metro key fob start inhibitor was a major anti theft and weightless. Strange to omit this although the display unit is considerably improved and very clear now. No plug in lock chain facility .

Easy to order on the Volt website. The bike was delivered in a few days to a local volt dealer who assembled it ready for collection. Having ridden the bike for a good 50 miles I’ve found it to be responsive with sharp handling and the build quality is excellent. Customer service is first class giving me confidence in maintaining the bike going forward. I look forward to more interesting products from the company in the future.
Love this bike. Bought the LITE when I was beginning to struggle with the weight of the VOLT METRO - getting it into and out of the car, especially after a long day out (I'm 60). The LITE is noticeably lighter and easier for me to lift over stiles and into the boot of my car. It still gives me the help I need on hills. Looking forward to enjoying riding it over the coming summer.

Really like my Volt LITE! Very easy to fold, powerful and really nice feeling of ride in general! It takes a bit of time to get used to how you need to roll it once it’s folded eg to move it in my building, but overall pretty satisfying!
The staff at Volt London HQ were also really nice and helpful when I came for the test ride.
I will say, maybe give a bit more detail on delivery timings? You receive an email saying it’s been dispatched and it’ll take a few working days, but i’d have appreciated the possibility to track the parcel.

Weighing in at just 18kg, including the battery, the VOLT LITE is one of the lightest folding and well equipped e-bikes on the market today. Built to serve commuters who need a bike that is easy to carry and store, the bike's lightweight aluminium frame is both sturdy and corrosion-resistant.
Some of the standout features are its Shimano Nexus 3-speed hub gears, Michelin Carbon Belt Drive and Bafang's powerful M820 central crank motor. The gears are known for their smooth shifting and reliable performance, making them an ideal choice for an electric bike. Bafang's M820 motor weighs in at only 2.3kg, it delivers 250W rated power and has a super powerful 75Nm of torque. Thanks to its perfectly tuned torque sensor, it can control the exact power according to your pedalling power. This enables the motor to provide just the right amount of assistance, making for a more natural and enjoyable ride but with some serious boost when needed.
In addition to its high-tech features, the LITE also boasts 20" Schwalbe puncture-resistant tyres, designed to provide excellent traction and durability on a variety of surfaces. The tyres are paired with powerful hydraulic disc brakes which offer reliable stopping power in all conditions. An optional back rack can be added to support a pannier bag.
Thanks to its high-capacity battery and efficient motor, the LITE can travel up to 50 miles* on a single charge (with an upcoming smaller, lighter battery option), making it the ideal choice for commuters and urban riders. When folded the LITE is sensibly held together with a quick-release magnet allowing for easy manoeuvring and storage. This practical folding e-bike is perfect for commuting, touring, steep inclines and perfectly suited for the caravan and motor home community, in short, it's the perfect all rounder.
