Introducing Our New Milton Keynes E-bike Factory

BLOG   volt news   Introducing Our New Milton Keynes E-bike Factory

In 2010 Volt started the hashtag #eBikeRevolution – 10 years on and the revolution is well and truly here!

We’re thrilled to announce that our new electric bike factory is now running as last weekend news of our opening went viral. Photos of our production lines and distribution areas spread across the papers and social media faster than toilet paper off supermarket shelves!

There was a time when “viral” and cycling (let alone e-bikes!) did not seem likely bedfellows, but with the recent surge in demand, cycling and electric bikes are well and truly ‘trending’.

The new factory reflects Volt’s long term commitment to invest in the British economy and UK manufacturing. With this new investment, the UK’s leading ebike brand now has the capacity to produce up to 25,000 bikes a year. The location will also make shipping to dealers, customers and demo centres much more efficient.

Here’s some of the highlights from the weekend’s press. For more information on the factory, visit our Made in the UK page here.
