One of the things we love most about our electric bikes is hearing how they fit into real people’s lives. 

In this latest VOLT Stories film, we meet a customer who discovered just how quickly an e-bike can turn from “I’ll give it a try” into “I can’t imagine being without it.” And after just six weeks he went and bought one for his wife… 

Doing the Research (and Choosing British)

Like many of our customers, Stuart’s journey started with research. Reviews mattered, but so did where the bike was from.

After reading positive coverage in The Independent and other newspapers, VOLT kept coming up with strong reviews. A visit to South Wigston Cycle Centre helped seal the deal.

“It really helps me exercise… and I’ve lost quite a bit of weight by doing that.”

E-biking Power Couple Riding Together

Perhaps the best part? Riding together.

He and his wife regularly head out to Bruntingthorpe, tackling a big circular route through the countryside.

“It takes about an hour on an electric bike — or about an hour and a half without.”

More importantly, it’s time spent together.

“There’s nothing more enjoyable when the weather’s good than getting out together. It’s really, really great.”
