The Bike Shop Nottingham

The Bike Shop has been serving the communities of Nottingham for the past 20 years.

Offering expert knowledge and practical skills that help a wide customer demographic. Over the years Volt has formed a strong relationship with the staff at The Bike Shop and we’re proud to have them as part of our dealer family.

1) What motivated you to open/run a bicycle shop?

I first started working at the Bike Shop as a 16-year old school leaver with a love of bikes, riding and maintaining bikes regularly. After a short time being here I quickly settled into the sales side, talking and discussing bikes helping customers day in and day out. I have now been here for 20-years and now I manage the shop. I still have to sam drive and passion for bikes as I did 20-years ago.

2) What makes your store different from others?

Our store is separated from others with its expert knowledge of bikes by its staff, huge range of bikes and accessories, we quickly pick up on new trends coming through the keep customers happy and up-to-date.

3) Where is the best/favourite location you’ve ever cycled?

My favourite place to cycle os Sherwood Pines a nice local place where I can ride the Red Gnarly route with friends or go for a leisurely ride with the family. The best place I have ridden was probably over 20 years ago when I raced the Malverns DH race.

4) What about the Volt brand and range led you to stock them?

I first became aware of Volt as a brand when Lyle phoned up and asked us to do a repair on one of the bikes. after seeing the bike and quality I realised these there great electric bikes and at a very affordable price, it didn’t take long after that for Lyle to get me to stock a couple, with ebike sales growing and the Volt bike great value and build quality. We now stock a much wider range of Volt Bikes.

5) What is your top tip for anyone looking to buy an electric bike?

My top tip would be to find a local stockist of bikes with good knowledge and reliable service but most importantly make sure you buy a good one
