VOLT named a finalist for Specialist Retailer at the BikeBiz Awards 2025

We are proud to share that VOLT has been named a finalist in the Specialist Retailer category at the BikeBiz Awards 2025.

The BikeBiz Awards are among the most recognised in the UK cycling trade, celebrating the brands, retailers and individuals raising standards across the industry. Of all the categories we could be shortlisted in, this is the one that means the most to us, because it is not about the product. It is about the relationship with our customers and the e-biking community we strive to champion.

Why service matters when you are buying an e-bike

Buying an electric bike is a considered process, and nobody should have to make it from a photograph and spec sheet on screen.

Frame size, riding position, motor type, range, how you will store it, whether you need to lift it into a car boot or carry it up a flight of stairs: these are just some things that decide whether a bike gets ridden every day or ends up in the garage. Things that are almost impossible to judge online.

That is why our showroom team starts with the journey rather than the bike. Tell us where you are riding, how far, what for and how often and we will point you towards the right model. Sometimes that is not the most expensive one, and we would far rather you leave on the bike that suits you.

Free test rides, no pressure

Every visitor is welcome to take a bike out for a proper test ride, not a lap of the car park. Riding an e-bike for the first time tends to answer most of the questions people arrive with, and it is the quickest way to work out which model fits. Not to mention the cracking coffee and tasty food available at Cafe VOLT
