Before you lock the door and wait for Spring to come around, these routes will give you a thrill while also letting you appreciating the amazing Autumn colours.
South
Hampshire, New Forest, Brockenhurst to Holmely Station
There are few places in the UK better than the New Forest to enjoy the spectacular colours of Autumn. Surrounded by ancient woodland and wild countryside, this is a cycle ride you won’t forget in a hurry.

Devon, Exe Estuary Trail
As well as the fresh Autumn sea air and warm Autumnal colours, the Exe estuary is a particularly good place to spot migrant birds heading south for the winter. This beautiful 22-mile route is an ideal place for a pleasant cycle ride with a flat, traffic-free path. With an e-bike you’ll be able to complete the route still feeling fresh!

Midlands
Nutbrook Trail, Derbyshire
This route takes you through 700 beautiful acres of Shipley Country Park. Best enjoyed over autumn, the Nutbrook trail starts at Long Eaton and runs for 10 miles past the Erewash Canal and River and finishes at Shipley. With plenty of reserves left in a Volt battery, you’ll be able to head back at whatever pace you like!

Cardiff to Castell Coch
This exciting route offers a little bit of everything, and on two wheels you’ll be able to take in more at a pace that feels comfortable to you. Beginning at Bute Park and following an eclectic mix of river, forest and railway paths, there’s a wide range of nature and scenery to enjoy.

Windermere, Lake District (Starting in Kendal)
Trees, Mountains and Lakes; what more could you want from an Autumn vista?! Enjoy the seasonal colours reflected in the stunning waters of Cumbria’s most iconic lake. Take on the infamous inclines of the Lakes at your leisure with an e-bike that will still leave you with enough juice to make it back to Kendal.

Transpennine Trail (Sheffield to Rotheram), Yorkshire
This may sound rather urban but Sheffield boasts being one of the greenest and most wooded cities in Europe. With 4.5 million trees in 180 woods, it seems there’s no better city to enjoy the Autumn spectacle! This relatively short cycle route doesn’t just take in the green space, it’s also full of historic buildings as well as some modern including the iconic meadow hall! In Rotheram Clifton Park offers a beautiful spot to stop and rest before heading back either on the train, but with plenty of battery left on your Volt why not just pedal back too!

Belfast, Comber Greenway
A pleasant traffic-free route that is part of the National Cycle Network and enjoys a good mix of scenery. As well as the Autumnal colours, you’ll also get views of the iconic Harland & Wolff Cranes and the Belfast Hills.

Glen Affric, Highlands, Scotland
