“Full of Joy” – E-biking the streets of Bath – Customer Stories

E-biking and cycling can mean different things for different people, for Cally, it’s something much simpler and more powerful.

In the latest instalment of our VOLT Customer Stories series, we meet Cally in the beautiful city of Bath, where her VOLT Regent has helped her rediscover the pleasure and confidence of cycling.

Overlooking the rolling countryside beyond Bath, Cally explains how her journey to finding the right e-bike began with a recommendation from a friend who already owned a VOLT. Intrigued, she and her partner spent a weekend visiting bike shops across the city, trying out different models in search of the perfect fit.

The final stop was a local independent retailer, where she discovered the VOLT Regent.

After testing numerous bikes, Cally knew almost immediately that she’d found the one.

“I wanted a sit-up bike, something that was really sturdy and easy to use.”

Having experienced a cycling accident several years earlier while living in London, confidence and comfort were high on her list of priorities. Combined with Bath’s famously steep hills, an electric bike felt like the ideal solution.

The Regent delivered exactly what she was looking for. Its upright riding position, stable handling and effortless electric assistance gave her the confidence to enjoy cycling again.

Today, Cally uses her VOLT Regent for leisurely rides around Bath and the surrounding countryside, as well as everyday trips to the shops. With the help of the motor, even the city’s challenging hills become manageable.

“I can go up hills as slow as I like and I can just keep going.”

The bike has proven so popular that Cally has inspired others around her to join the VOLT family too. After seeing her Regent, a friend purchased one from the same local bike shop, while her sister in Surrey soon followed suit.

For Cally, the simplicity of the riding experience is part of the appeal. The easy controls, comfortable design and low-maintenance belt drive all contribute to making every ride enjoyable.

And perhaps most importantly, it’s a bike that simply makes her happy.

“I love my bike. I feel full of joy whenever I get on it.”
