“I Can’t Imagine Life Without My VOLT” | VOLT Stories (S2 E4): Kaan & Nazli

When Kaan & Nazli moved to London, one thing was clear: e-bikes were going to be part of their life. “Right after we moved to London, we knew that we were definitely getting bikes,” they say.  Keen to embrace the freedom of the city under their own power, it wasn’t long before they came across VOLT E-bikes.

Their introduction came through a friend. “I heard of VOLT’s electric bikes from my close friend when we first moved to London, and I saw him cycling a Pulse bike. I was impressed” After getting a recommendation, they waited six months before buying their first Pulse. “I liked my first bike a lot because of the design… it was very cool, and I was cycling around 15 miles per day..”

Even setbacks couldn’t keep them off the saddle. “My bike was stolen, unfortunately, and I was without my bike for almost one month. Then I got my Burlington e-bicycle – it became part of me again.”

The Comfort of an “L-Shaped Couch”!

Comfort, practicality, and style were all part of what made VOLT the perfect fit. Speaking about the Kensington “I definitely wanted a bike with a basket because I cycle to work every day. I don’t want to wear my bag on my back – it was very convenient. And I’m not going to talk about the seats and how comfortable it is… it’s actually a running joke between us. We call it almost like an L-shaped couch.”

Cycling isn’t just a way to get around – it’s a way to experience London. “London is amazing, and you can discover the city by bike easily. You can cycle everywhere – maximum 40 to 45 minutes. In almost three years, I’ve cycled around 6,000 miles.” Even weekends become opportunities to ride: “Even if we’re not doing anything over the weekend, we find an excuse to just take our bikes and start browsing around the city.”

Rain or shine, the VOLT is indispensable. “We cycle to the office, to the gym… almost every day. Even in the rain, I have my gears on. That’s why I believe I cannot live without my VOLT.”
